HTML एक हाइपरटेक्स्ट मार्कअप लैंग्वेज (HYPERTEXT MARKUP LANGUAGE) है जिसका इस्तमाल web pages  बनाने के लिए होता है | HTML की मदत से हे हम वेबसाइट(website) बना सकते है | HTML को टीम बर्नर ली( Tim Berners-Lee ) ने 1991 में publically introduce कराया था |   Tim Berners-Lee HTML कलेक्शन( collection) है   certain keywords का ज़ीने  हम टैग (tag) कहते है |  जैसे :- <html><head><body> ...etc. हटम्ल एक platform-independent language  है जो  की वेब ब्राउज़र पर रन होती  है | html document का एक्सटेंशन(extension)  .html होता है | HTML को रन करने के लिए  हमारे कंप्यूटर  में एक वेब ब्राउज़र (ex:- crome) होना चाहिए और इसे लिखने के लिए एक टेक्स्ट एडिटर(text editor)  ex:- notepad++ |
